Growing up and living in South Florida for over 30 years, it’s easy to take this gorgeous place we call home for granted! Between the beaches, golf courses, concerts, festivals, restaurants, sporting events, boating and everything in between – South Florida has a LOT to offer. Most weekends I end up doing one, if not all, of those activities. But this past weekend I felt like doing something different and relaxing. After going to an event at The Conrad for the SOBE Food & Wine festival, I knew I had to get back there for a stay! The newest luxury hotel on the exclusive Fort Lauderdale’s North Beach, Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach redefines ultra-elegant hospitality. The Conrad opened in late October of last year and has already become a hot spot for travelers and locals alike. The Conrad overlooks the pristine beaches and turquoise waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
The Conrad offers jaw-dropping panoramic views, an incredible Sky Deck on the 6th floor, a craft cocktail bar, delicious restaurants and all-suite accommodations. All suites have a gourmet kitchen, an Italian marble bathroom with deep-soaking tub and separate shower, as well as a private furnished balcony or terrace. The Conrad is the new standard for luxury in Fort Lauderdale Beach. I have stayed at Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton and many other amazing hotels; but I have never been treated so well as a guest as I was on this stay! Travelers and locals seeking impeccable service and a dank culinary experience should get down to The Conrad in Fort Lauderdale Beach as soon as possible!
The Conrad has four different dining options on-property (main reason I wanted to visit). Explore Mediterranean specialties, flavorful seafood and hand-crafted cocktails while enjoying panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean from one of the four dining venues inside the hotel. I started off the night in the Atlas Cocktail Lounge, which is located just off the main lobby. Here you will find an incredible craft cocktail list and some very talented bartenders. In addition to the fantastic cocktails, they offer some super dank bar bites as well. Terra Mare is the signature dining option at The Conrad (blog post coming soon on the food) offers a broad range of market fresh and locally sourced land and sea shared plate dining options, mixing popular tastes from all over the world with a focus on South Florida location. In addition to Terra Mare, you will find Cornucopia Gourmet Market, a gourmet market featuring artisanal cuisine, including flatbreads, sumptuous pastries and organic juices. Perfect to grab and take up to your room. And finally, Spinnaker Pool Grill. Located on the 6th floor sky-deck, Spinnaker is the best place on property to enjoy a tropical cocktail and fresh food, all while taking in 360 views of the intercostal, downtown Fort Lauderdale and the Atlantic Ocean!
